Best budget 17-inch tires for the street: Dunlop Roadsport 2 tires

We continue to be impressed by Dunlop’s outrageously valuable Roadsport 2s. They sound around $ 200 a game, but don’t be fooled by the bargain price. These tires are suitable for small to medium displacement standards and sport bikes of all kinds with 17-inch wheels. Think SV650, Ninja 400, MT-07, and the like. These tires are ready for commuting, road trips, and everything in between. Confidence is bolstered by the fast warm-up times and the remarkable spinning sensation. They also stand out for their stability when braking.

We chose these over the similar GPR-300 Sportmax tires because the Roadsport 2s provide a smarter build and much better performance for just a few dollars more. This would be our pick for touring the city with some winding roads on the weekend. You will probably see 4,500 to 5,000 miles off the rear tire before the grip begins to decrease. Bravo, Dunlop.

Best budget tires for the street: Dunlop D404 tires

Roadsport 2s are great tires, to be sure, but they don’t cover any of the popular wheel sizes outside of 17 inches. If you’re on a metric, standard, or even vintage cruiser motorcycle, we recommend the Dunlop D404 for your next set of tires. Prices (per pair) range from $ 130 to $ 270, and they are available in sizes 15 to 21 inches.

The superpower of the D404 is longevity. You can wait up to 10,000 miles of these tires before it’s time to replace them, so they are a great option for those who actually ride their motorcycles, especially tourists who can rely on the bias ply construction to support the added weight of cargo and a passenger. The D404s aren’t quite as advanced as the Roadsmart 2s earlier, as they only use a single rubber compound, but they’re not likely to be a limiting factor on motorcycles that fit. The D404s are based on maximum drive for your money, with a nice look …
