Also located in downtown San Diego is the Andaz. If the US Grant were more of a classic luxury hotel, the Andaz San Diego is more of a modern luxury hotel. From every room to the lobby, the Andaz clearly displays a great sense of style. The entire property is very modern, elegant and extremely luxurious. There are 159 rooms at this four-star property, and all are exquisite. If you want a more elegant and ‘modern’ luxury hotel, this is the place to stay. The views from the rooftop are also pretty hard to beat.
3. The Paradise Point Resort and Spa
Located just outside the central area of the city on a 44-acre private island that is covered in tropical gardens, is the Paradise Point Resort and Spa. For those looking for a beach resort experience while staying in one of California’s major cities, this place is truly something more. It’s a massive resort consisting of 462 rooms and suites, four restaurants, a large spa and gym, a private beach, a few bars, tennis courts, many hot tubs, lush gardens and lagoons, a private marina, and more. By staying here, you forget that you are not in the Caribbean, but that you are actually in San Diego.
2. The Omni San Diego
Located within the central Gaslamp Quarter of the city, is the spacious and luxurious Omni San Diego. Those familiar with this hotel brand will know that you can expect top-notch levels of luxury and comfort here. It is a four star property that is made up of 511 spacious rooms and suites. It’s ideally located near many of the downtown attractions, and that’s one feature you want when traveling to California. You’ll pay a lot to stay here, but if you can afford it, a stay at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar is well worth the price. The area is absolutely beautiful and the hotel / resort has everything you could want. They offer 249 luxurious rooms and suites, a five-star spa (one of only 41 worldwide), a large swimming pool, a gym, six restaurants, a few bars, an attentive staff, a championship professional golf course and much more. . If you had to go out of your way and stay at possibly the most enjoyable hotel and resort in all of San Diego, the Fairmont Grand Del Mar would be the place to come.
