Jeep Wrangler Towing Capacity: Jeep Wrangler Towing Capacity
The 2014 Jeep Wrangler is such an off-road icon that some people often forget that it is capable of hauling a trailer, too. Sure, it’s not a heavy-duty truck that can pull a 10,000-pound trailer like a Radio Flyer wagon, but it’s pretty comfortable to haul a small fishing boat.
Towing capacity: how much a jeep wrangler can tow
Most 2014 Jeep Wranglers can tow 2,000 pounds, but there are some that can handle a 3,500-pound trailer. These higher capacity Wranglers include the Sport four-door with the 3.73 axle, the Sahara four-door with the 3.73 axle, and the Rubicon four-door with the 4.10 or 3.73 axle. To help make towing easier, Jeep also offers an optional trailer sway control feature that helps prevent unwanted swaying while towing a trailer.
