The Bobcat Skid Steer Loader helps you move and load rocks, dirt, concrete, and debris with ease. You can also change your Bobcat accessories with the mounting system. If you just bought a Bobcat skid steer loader or are thinking of buying one, it is best to find out the year of the loader. Knowing the year will tell you if there may be maintenance issues or if the equipment warranty is still valid. By locating the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), you can quickly find out the year.
Find the VIN or serial number of your Bobcat. It can be located in various places, such as on the side of the door or on the magazine inside the machine. If you cannot find this number, continue with Step 2.
Look in the Owner’s Manual for the VIN / serial number. The number can be printed on the cover or inside cover of the book. The manual will also tell you where the numbers are on the skid steer.
Write down all the numbers that appear in the owner’s manual or on the skid steer.
Call the Bobcat Marketing Service Department. According to the Bobcat website, simply call 701-678-6165 and provide the customer service representative with the serial number / VIN. You know what year the Bobcat was made.
