The Chevrolet Malibu is among the many Chevy cars that come with remote and keyless entry. With this technology, you can control your car door locks, your trunk, and your panic alarm from a couple of hundred feet away on the street or in a parking lot. Programming takes just a few minutes from the driver’s seat, and you’ll have the system’s remote and transmitter ready to go right out of the box.
Get in your Malibu and close all the doors.
Insert your key into the ignition. Move the key to “On”, then “Off”. Remove the key from the ignition.
Press and hold the “Unlock” tab on the driver’s side door as you insert and remove the key from the ignition three times.
Release the “Unlock” tab. Press and hold the “Lock” and “Unlock” buttons on the remote control until the car beeps twice.
Repeat step 4 for any additional remote controls. Remove your key from the ignition to finish the programming sequence.
