Many vehicle manufacturers hope to prevent theft by installing car radio alarms, sometimes known as PassLocks or Theftlocks. The lock is programmed through the car’s ignition, the actual radio, or the electrical wiring or fuses. Depending on the specs of your car, there are a couple of different ways to disable the alarm if it is causing problems allowing your vehicle to start.
Use of vehicle identification number
Step 1: how to disable a car’s burglar alarm
Find the car’s VIN number by looking in the title, on the driver’s side door, or on the front of the windshield.
Step 2: how to remove the anti-theft device from a car
Open the User Manual at the location that tells you about your car radio and its contents. This area is usually “Information Systems” or something similar.
step 3; how to remove the anti-theft system from a car
Find the section that tells you which button, based on your vehicle’s specifications, to hold for 5 seconds until the screen flashes for you to enter a code. (This button is usually a “Tone” button or an “Auto Program” button).
Step 4: how to deactivate a car’s anti-theft device
Check the VIN number on the display and follow the instructions in the manual on how to disarm the alarm on the radio. This will allow the radio to be used in other vehicles that do not have your car’s VIN number. Reassemble the radio by repeating the steps provided in the manual and entering the VIN number back into the radio.
