The cylinder head is made of cast aluminum which gives it good cooling efficiency. The camshaft supporting part is a kind of independent cap. The engine is an overhead camshaft design with four valves per cylinder. The combustion chamber used the center plug type pent roof shape for greater intake and exhaust efficiency. The Suzuki G13BB engine did not have hydraulic lifters, so special valve shims are used to adjust the valve clearance.
