Have you ever wondered how much it costs to buy the most expensive SUV in the world and what does that car look like? IAT, the Chinese automaker, has recently revealed that they are creating a new luxury limited-edition SUV called the Karlmann King that is priced at a whopping $ 2.1 million. For that price, you might be wondering what makes this car stand out from its competitors to make it worth it. Photos of the vehicle have been released and it has been described to resemble Batman’s Batmobile in terms of both its external appearance and internal features.
Let’s start with its exterior. Its bodywork is based on that of the Ford F-550 pickup. It is angular in shape like a polygon and looks almost as if it was created through a computer generated image. It is available with a bulletproof exterior and darkened windows for an additional charge. Under its hood, this four-wheel drive vehicle is powered by a 6.8-liter V-10 engine and has a six-speed automatic gearbox. Although it is powerful, speed is not its strong suit, this is due to its size as it weighs a whopping 4,500 kilograms and this means that it can only reach a top speed of 87 miles per hour.
The interior of the car is something completely different and it is not much different from looking inside a spaceship. It is filled with LED lights to reproduce a night sky and has been directly compared to the interior of the Rolls-Royce Phantom. Standard features on this car include a coffee maker and a PlayStation 4. An anonymous custom vehicle manufacturer in Europe is creating these cars for IAT and only nine are being produced. So if you want a high-end SUV and have $ 2 million to spare to spend, you’ll have to quickly get your name down for the pleasure of owning a Karlmann King.
