Wondering what Ymir’s Tearstones are used for in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla? If you’ve stumbled upon a chest containing one of these mysterious glowing stones, you’re probably wondering what they are used for and what you will receive for collecting them all.
30 Ymir’s Tearstones are scattered across Asgard, and once you’ve acquired them all, you can use them to make an offering. They can be found on the Asgardian islands – they are marked as riches on your map, so to track them down, all you need to do is use Odin’s Sight to pinpoint their exact location when near the map marker.
Most of the Tear Stones are hidden inside chests, and you may have to solve puzzles to reach them, or use jars of oil to explosively clear your way. Some of Ymir’s Tear Stones won’t appear until you complete the World Event mysteries, and a couple won’t be present until you’ve progressed through the story and completed the final mission in Asgard. This is what happens when you collect them all.
What to do with Ymir’s tearstones
When you’ve gathered the complete set of 30 Ymir’s Tearstones, you can present them on the offering altar on the eastern side of Asgard’s northernmost island. After you have interacted with the statue there, you will earn five skill points for your problem. Whether those skill points are worth fighting for all over Asgard is up to you – completing the mysteries tab is its own reward, right?
