In a surprise twist, it was supermarkets that had the best Nintendo Switch Black Friday deals last year. They had Switch consoles priced as low as £ 230 at the sales event – some of the lowest prices we’ve seen! However, stocks were quite limited, so you would have been lucky to buy one. However, what does that mean for 2021?
Well, with the rumored Switch successor still in sight, it seems like a likely bet that we will continue to see similar deals for Black Friday 2021. Nintendo’s production is generally in long-term demand and that applies to consoles as well as devices. games, so the incentive to discount them is minimal.
However, the best deals may be hidden in the Nintendo Switch Lite. The already much more affordable wearable-only version dropped to £ 180 last year in a bundle with Animal Crossing New Horizons and a 3-month Switch Online membership. Being one of the biggest titles on the console, this package of deals may be repeated in 2021. We will have to wait and see in November.

Nintendo Switch Black Friday console deals
Once the £ 230 Nintendo Switch we saw at Tesco, Aldi and ShopTo sold out, there really weren’t many Nintendo Switch deals on Black Friday last year. Sure, there were still some decent deals, but they were mostly standard Switch consoles with games or gift cards.
The Nintendo Switch Lite bundle with Animal Crossing New Horizons and Switch Online held up for quite a while, at least. It didn’t go back down to its best price of £ 180, but it was still very affordable at £ 200. Usually that’s what you’d have to pay for a Switch Lite on its own!
With rumors that new Switch hardware continues to circulate (even if it won’t be released in 2021), we could see Nintendo looking to swap out some of the older consoles more aggressively this year. Many bargain hunters will have their attention looking for PS5 and Xbox Series X stocks as well, so will Nintendo have to go the extra mile to stand out?
Nintendo Switch Black Friday game deals
Nintendo always plays it safe when offering discounts on proprietary games, so we’re expecting nothing more than the usual 33 percent discount for digital titles, but it is very likely that big discounts on third-party games will reappear.
We will be on the lookout for offerings on Animal Crossing New Horizons, Super Mario 3D World, and Breath of the Wild as some of the biggest games of recent years, especially with a sequel to the latter still in the works. It seems unlikely that some of the biggest releases this year, like Pokémon Snap and Skyward Sword HD, will go down, but we will keep an eye out for an offer.
Ultimately, time will tell what they have in store, but we wouldn’t expect much bigger discounts than last year’s selection.
Nintendo Switch Black Friday accessory deals
Nintendo Switch SD cards, controllers, and cases are just some of the most sought-after accessories for the console. Again, we hope that a decent selection of them will receive reductions.
We will also be looking closely for any reductions in the Skyward Sword Joy-Cons, as long as they are not sold out by November! Other more standard Joy-Con variations may get a little price cut from Black Friday, so watch out for that, too.
That is all for now. Hopefully that has given you an idea of the Nintendo Switch Black Friday deals to watch out for this year.
If you like other consoles more, we’ve also set our thinking cap to consider the PS5 Black Friday and Xbox Black Friday deals that could grace us with their presence in 2021. Either way, be sure to keep an eye out for the one. Gelatin Deals Twitter, where we will continue to publish new offers during the next year.
