OnePlus follows the trail started by Vivo with the Vivo Nex and, like other manufacturers, they are launching to include the retractable camera on the OnePlus 7 Pro. With it, you get the all-screen effect, taking good advantage of the front panel in which you hardly see frames, without the need to include the notch.

Retractable camera allows you to take full advantage of the 6.67-inch screen

Speaking of the screen, the OnePlus 7 Pro equips a 6.67-inch Fluid AMOLED, with QHD + resolution (3120×1440 pixels) and a density of 516 ppi that provide sharp on-screen and a more realistic image. In total, 4.49 million individual pixels to create a premium viewing experience.

The screen arrives with a 19.5: 9 ratio and 90 Hz refresh rate that provides visual fluidity and smoothness without skipping. Precisely that ratio and size, favors, according to the manufacturer, the immersive experience in games or movies. The screen also has the built-in Night Mode 2.0, which emits short-wave blue rays that allow the OnePlus 7 Pro to be used without being annoying to the eye. Thus, this mode manages to lower the brightness to 0.27 nits, protecting the eyes even in complete darkness.

With curved edges for easy grip, the phone is available in three colors, Mirror Gray (gray), Nebula Blue (blue) and Almond (gold) and it is covered with Gorilla 5. On the back, we find the module with the triple rear camera located in a vertical position, centered on the upper part of the phone and, just below, the LED flash.

In the photographic section, OnePlus goes one step further and makes the 7 Pro model the first of the brand to bet on a triple camera. Thus, we find a 48 MP Sony IMX586 main sensor with a 1.6 µm pixel size, f / 1.6 aperture and next-generation optical stabilizer (OIS); an 8 MP telephoto with a size of 1.0 µm with f / 2.4 aperture and OIS and 3x optical zoom and a 16 MP wide-angle lens with f / 2.4 aperture and 117-degree field of view.

The camera arrives accompanied by Artificial Intelligence to detect the best scene and different modes, such as night mode or portrait, in addition to what OnePlus calls UltraShot, a custom imaging algorithm with HDR + and Super Resolution, to obtain sharp and clear images with special attention to detail.

For selfies, the company bets on its new phone for a 16 MP periscope camera. According to OnePlus, the system has been tested more than 300,000 times, which means that if we were to use the camera 150 times a day, it would have a lifespan of more than five years.

The person in charge of putting the mobile into operation is none other than the Qualcomm processor Snapdragon 855, the undisputed star of this year’s high-end range. Accompany you different RAM options, 6, 8, or 12 GB, as well as several internal storage possibilities, ranging from 128 to 256 GB of memory.

The battery stands at 4,000 mAh with Warp Charge 30, a 5V / 6A high-voltage and low-voltage flash charging technology capable of maintaining a constant temperature and increasing the charging speed by 38%. In addition, it has OxygenOS based on Android 9 Pie as an operating system and also highlights the fingerprint reader, which is transferred to the front of the mobile, just below the screen, as we already saw in the Galaxy S10. The sound is provided by a double stereo speaker signed by Dolby Atmos.

OnePlus has not forgotten the game mode and in the OnePlus 7 Pro it offers new features to improve the graphics, in addition to a better display of light and dark colors. Also highlights the Haptic Vibration, with multiple levels of vibration feedback with zero lag for a more realistic gaming experience; and its ten-layer liquid cooling system capable of maintaining an optimal temperature on the smartphone even in situations of prolonged and intensive use.

For its part, RAM Boost learns from the user’s usage habits, freely allocating available RAM to heavy-duty apps, such as large games. This shortens the loading process and you can start playing much earlier, as well as keeping more applications open in the background without affecting the performance of the phone.
