characteristics, price and technical sheet

22 mayo, 2021

The date was marked for several weeks and today, finally, the new Samsung Galaxy Note 10 family is official. And we speak in the plural because, for the first time, the Galaxy Note 10 does not arrive alone. He does it accompanied by his older brother, Galaxy Note 10+ after months of rumors that left little room for the imagination and, above all, the surprise factor.

Focusing on the one at hand, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+, comes loaded with power to reign in the high range in the second half of the year. For this, it borrows some features from the Galaxy S10 + such as the perforated screen or the fingerprint reader under the front panel. To this is added the Exynos 9825 processor with 12 GB of RAM, a storage of up to 512 GB or the four rear cameras that equips. But before moving on, let’s review its technical specifications.

New bet on the four cameras

Note10 Aurablack

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ lands with a screen 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED with Full HD + resolution (can be switched to Quad HD +) (3,040 X 1,440), HDR10 + certification and a density of 498 dpi. It does so with a hole in the screen in the upper centered area that the brand itself calls Infinity O. With a good use of the front and barely visible edges, the phone reaches a screen-to-body ratio of 90% according to manufacturer data.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+, first impressions: the S and Note ranges have never been so close

On three colors (Aura Glow, Aura Black and Aura White), when we turn it around we find an arrangement of the cameras somewhat far from what we are used to. Thus, in the upper left corner there is a module with three sensors and, next to it, the LED flash and a fourth sensor.

Note 10 Plus 2 Cameras

Because yes, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ has a quad camera setup that Samsung debuted in the mid-range with the Galaxy A9 (2018) last year, and which it resigned in the other great high-end of this year, the Galaxy S10 +, which remained in the three cameras.

In the case of the Galaxy Note 10+, we find a 16 MP ultra-wide sensor with aperture f / 2.2 and 123º; a wide angle of 12 MP AF with aperture f / 1.5-2.4, OIS and 77º; a 12 MP telephoto with aperture f / 2.1, OIS (optical image stabilization) and 45º and a depth sensor with VGA resolution with aperture f / 1.4 and 72º. On the front, we find a single 10 MP AF lens with f / 2.2 aperture and 80º.

Exynos 9825 to record and play 8K videos

Note 10 Plus 2 Processor

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ performance manager is the Exynos 9825 processor, a 7 nanometer chip presented hours before the arrival of the phone. It is the first to have extreme ultraviolet lithography and is ready to include 5G thanks to the Exynos Modem 5100 modem. The chip has three clusters made up of two custom cores, two Cortex A75 cores and four Cortex A55 cores, while the GPU is the ARM Mali-G76 MP12.

The processor includes the neural processing unit and can record and play 8K video at 30 fps or 4K at 60 fps. They accompany him 12 GB RAM and two internal storage options, with 256 or 512 GB, so it is somewhat far from the Terabyte of capacity that we saw in the Galaxy S10 +. Of course, it is expandable up to 1TB with microSD.

The battery is located in the 4,300 mAh and supports 45W fast reverse wireless chargingalthough the charger is not included in the box. As they explain, the super fast charge allows to achieve a full charge in just 30 minutes, while the wireless charging is faster than what we found in the Galaxy Note 9 thanks to the cable.

The Galaxy Note 10+ has an in-screen ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and facial recognition

Samsung brings to its new phone the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor on the screen that we saw released last February in the Galaxy S10 and which is also accompanied by facial recognition. Cooling is kept at bay thanks to the Vapor Chamber Cooling system and performance during games is guaranteed with AI Game Booster.

And something that stands out, although in this case, by its absence. Samsung has decided dispense with the headphone jack on the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+. Despite resisting for a long time, he took the first step last year in the mid-range with the Galaxy A8s and now extends it to the high-end as well, after announcing that the Galaxy Fold would not have him either.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 vs Galaxy Note 9, this is all that has changed

Also, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ comes with 4G and 5G options to achieve maximum speed and harness the power of the next generation of network, allowing you to share high resolution videos, download content very quickly and play with lots of graphics in real time. Although the Samsung Galaxy Note 5G is presented with two memory options (256 GB and 512 GB), only the 512 GB option will arrive in Spain and it is Single SIM.

With stereo speakers and sound by AKG, presents IP68 certification against water and dust. And as a novelty, the button dedicated to Bixby disappears, which goes to the power key of the device.

The S-Pen, inseparable companion of the Note

But of course, the Galaxy Note 10+ would be nothing without it. S-Pen. This time it comes with some interesting improvements, such as the lithium battery with eleven hours of autonomy (according to manufacturer data), a six-axis sensor, augmented reality gesture system and Bluetooth BLE. It measures 5.8 × 4.35 × 105.08 mm and weighs 3.04 grams.

The phone has support for Samsung Dex, the system that the company launched in 2017 with the Galaxy S8 to replicate the mobile screen on the computer and will allow receiving messages and calls on the PC or do screen mirroring (see the content of the smartphone on TV) if we are connected to the same WiFi network.

At the multimedia level, the Galaxy Note 10+ arrives loaded with technology. Thus, we find Live Focus Video (something like a portrait mode in videos), Zoom in mic that allows to center the sound in a specific point, the improved Super Steady stabilizer, the recording on screen with PiP, the AR Doodle or the native video editor together with Adoble Rush optimized.

Added to this is support for Samsung Knox or Samsung Notes app improvement that will allow you to export in more formats such as Word or PDF or translate to digital text with a single touch, among other functions.
