AMAZON AUDIBLE: How is the NEW PODCAST PLATFORM and AMAZON AUDIBOOKS
Download the Kindle app for PC or Mac
First of all you need the Kindle app, which you can download from here for Windows and OS X. The landing page will let you choose between the Android, iOS and PC or Mac options, but when you click on the button the web will choose the one suitable for your operating system. When installed open it.
The next thing is to introduce your user credentials, that is, those of your Amazon account. Keep in mind that if you use the two-step authentication system, the application will not let you log in, and you will have to resolve a CAPTCHA continuously. To fix this, enter your password immediately followed by the authentication code in the password field. If you don’t have an account, the application will allow you to create one.
Looking for free books
If you have purchased any e-books from the Amazon Kindle Store, the titles you already own will be added automatically to your library. To start reading them, just double-click on them. You can even download them by right-clicking on the book to read them offline.
If you do not have any titles yet, you can get more by entering the store through the shortcut that you will see in the upper right corner of the application. If you don’t want to buy a book yet, you can get free titles legally via Amazon.
The store page will open. In the menu on the left, look for the section Offers and low prices. When the page opens, in the header you will see a link with the title Free eBooks. That’s where we’re going to start looking, so click on it.
What you will find here are classics of world literature, with titles like Don Quijote of La Mancha, The Regent, Romeo and Juliet or The Divine Comedy among a vast selection. You will be able to see works in Spanish, English and French, although the website also allows you to search in other languages such as Catalan, Basque or Galician.
When you have found one that makes you especially excited to read, click the button Buy in one click and then select the device to be delivered to. In this case, choose the option On Your-User’s Kindle for PC.
And with this, you would have everything done. As we have already said, do double click on the new book to start reading it. The interface is very similar to that of a PDF file reader, with several shortcuts that will help you personalize your experience: you can adjust the font size, typeface, words per line, screen brightness and display modes. color, among other things.
