At the end of November, Netflix announced a feature that was great for users who connect via mobile. We speak, of course, of the offline mode that allows us download movies or episodes of series to be able to watch them later even if we do not have a connection.
This feature is interesting especially in terms of saving mobile data, but storage can be a problem if we do not have much space on the mobile. Yesterday Netflix announced a novelty with which we can give a break to the internal storage of our phones. It is about the downloads to the MicroSD card, we tell you how to do it.
How to download Netflix content directly to SD
There are many mobiles that are not exactly overflowing with internal memory and in which the SD card is an essential element. Here we can store the photos and videos that we are taking and other content to which Netflix downloads are now added.
In order to download content to your Android’s SD card, enter the Netflix app and click on the menu icon, located in the upper left corner. Once inside go down until you find the option “Application settings”.
After the last Netflix update, an option called “Download location” appears in this menu, so if you don’t see it, first of all go to Google Play and install the latest version of the app. Obviously, you will also need to have an SD card installed and with enough space.
Setting downloads to be stored on the MicroSD card is as simple as click on “Download location” and choose the SD. The Netflix app will show you the available space both on the card and in the phone’s memory. Also, if you look at the bottom of the settings menu, you will see two bars that show the storage in more detail.
