Trace with your finger on Google Maps
The application that we propose, Just Draw It !, is not new since it has been on Google Play since March of last year (it is also available for iOS). However, it was recently updated and its functions are worth making known: with it it is really easy plot the best routes on Google Maps. And much more comfortable than doing it on the Google maps application since you just have to use your finger.
The Just Draw It! It is as accomplished as it is clean: it loads the map first with your current situation (ask for location permission for this), it offers plotting buttons on the right, and allows you to select different map layers, such as relief, satellite, and standard (this appears by default). The mechanics of use is simple: click on the trace icon (the doodle) and you will be able to draw on the map: the line corresponds to the route you plan.
You can make a freehand route, save it, continue with the route and there is even an option to adjust the lines to the streets: this way it will be much more precise to guide you when you go to physically do what you planned on the map. The whole process is very simple, but it does not cease to amaze: Just Draw It! allows you to create routes to measure distance very precisely (the app shows you the mileage of each stroke made). As you can adjust the route manually, it is very easy to plan excursion routes to the countryside or through the city, you can also visualize them at the moment. And you will even know the ride elevation since Just Draw It! offers you that information.
If you have not tried it yet, and want measure distance on Google Maps, create routes by hand and save all routes, Just Draw It! it’s your app. You can download it for free from the Google Play Store, it has some ads and you have the option to collaborate with the developers through an ‘in-app’ purchase of only 1 euro.
