We have seen how to create backup copies in WhatsApp both in iOS and Android in which to save all our chats with the corresponding data, even with the stickers favorites. But What if we don’t have the backup activated and we need to recover some conversation that we have deleted?

WHATSAPP Tips and tricks to HIDE YOURSELF TO THE MAXIMUM and keep your PRIVACY
Steps to follow
If we need a chat that we have accidentally deleted we have a margin of up to seven days to recover it. And if we have an Android phone, it is quite easy to achieve it, even if we do not have automatic backups.
To recover these chats we must go to the application that our mobile offers as a file explorer. Once inside it, we must look for a specific file that is in the path “sdcard / WhatsApp / Databases”.
Once located we must change the name of the file that we want to restore, from msgstore-year-month-day.1.db.crypt12 (year, month, and day appear with a date for each day of the week) to msgstore.db.crypt12. And here it is very important not to modify the extension number “.crypt12” (without the quotes).
We may already have the file “msgstore-year-month-day.1.db.crypt12”, in which case it will be necessary that before changing the name we remove it to avoid problems with the nomenclature.
Once this file has been modified, we exit the file explorer and uninstall WhatsApp from our phone and then reinstall it from the Google Play Store. We start the application and when in the configuration process it offers us the possibility of “Restore” click on it and the old conversations of the application will be loaded.
Remember what it is a trick to recover conversations with up to seven days old as long as we do not have the automatic backup activated in our WhatsApp account.
