Almost every week Google releases a new version to improve the store application Play Store adding improvements and new functionalities, but these updates do not reach everyone at once, they arrive in a staggered way, and it is possible that on some devices it may take up to several weeks to receive all these news.
If you like to always have your device updated, with the most recent versions of your favorite applications to enjoy from the first day of its news, then here we tell you how to update Google Play Store to the latest version:
Check version and try to force the update
The application of Google Play Store updates itself in the background. When Google launches a download version and installs itself without us having to do anything. The only thing we can do is check the version we have installed and if it is updated or not, that is, if we have an update pending to download.
To check if Google Play Store is updated we have to go to Play Store> Settings> Play Store version. There we will see the version that we have installed and when we click on the version a window will appear that will tell us if “Google Play Store is updated” or if “A new version of Google Play Store will be downloaded and installed”.
If it tells us that a new version is going to be downloaded, we just have to wait for it to install in the background in a matter of a few minutes. We leave the store and after a while, when we go back in, it will already be updated, or apparently updated, since the latest version may not have been downloaded.
Update manually by installing the APK
Even if Google Play Store tell us that it is updated, it is possible that a new version is already circulating in a staggered way and that it does not reach us after a few weeks. If we want to have that new version, we have to update manually by installing its APK.
For this we have to resort to the APK Mirror repository and download the latest version from Google Play Store looking for the application from your search engine or through the following link:
There we just have to check for the latest version and download the APK corresponding to the architecture of our device: arm, arm64, x86 or noarch (arm, arm64 and x86). Once the variant of the APK has been selected, we just have to go to “Download APK” and install the downloaded APK. Installation finished now we will update the Play Store.
