On Genbeta we have spoken “many times”: https: //www.genbeta.com/search? q = screenshots + & domains = https: //www.genbeta.com&sitesearch=https: //www.genbeta.com&client=pub- 9977500652563564 & forid = 1 & channel = 2638782516 & ie = UTF-8 & oe = UTF-8 & cof = GALT:% 23008000; GL: 1; DIV:% 23336699; VLC: 663399; AH: center; BGC: FFFFFF; LBGC: 336699; ALC; 0000FF; T: 000000; GFNT: 0000FF; GIMP: 0000FF; FORID: 11 & hl = is & x = 0 & y = 0 from different applications to do screenshots in Windows. That there are such a number of entries on this subject is a direct consequence of the fact that Microsoft, at this point, has not yet included any simple tool to make screenshots of this type. Today we present another one, Lightshot, which also offers several additional services.
Lightshot is both an application for our PC and a extension in Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome. In the latter case, it works as just another icon in our extensions bar, in which if we click (or press PrntScr) a cursor appears that we can drag to cover the area that interests us the most.
But as I said before, the options do not stop here. Once we have a selected zone, we will see a small menu below each image in which we are offered several possibilities such as saving on our hard drive in JPG, PNG or BMP formats, copying to clipboard or making the selection automatically in full screen.
But perhaps the two most interesting are the next two. On the one hand we have the option of directly upload the screenshot that we have made, which will then appear in a short URL of the form http://prntscr.com ready to copy and share. And the last possibility is to edit them directly in the cloud through the image editor Pixlr, about which we have already spoken on “another occasion.”: https: //www.genbeta.com/web/pixlr-otro-editor-online-de-imagenes-con-cierto-aire-a-adobe-photoshop
Lightshot is, therefore, one more option for users of Windows when it comes to taking screenshots, but it also has a series of services that can be very useful for many users.
