The programmer career in 2017 and in the future (with Javier Santana)
Programming for everyone (starting with Python)
It’s a basic course for beginners without any prerequisites, in it you will learn all the basics of programming using Python. Python is one of the most demanded programming languages and applications worldwide, as well as being the favorite of many programmers.
The course was developed by Charles Severance, associate professor at the University of Michigan School of Information, who has taught several technology-focused courses, including programming, database design, and web development.
Charles set out to create this course with the premise in mind that even though there were already plenty of Python courses for beginners out there, none seemed really aimed at real beginners – that is, students without any technical training or knowledge of mathematics.
Like all courses in edX, registration is completely free and is open as of this July 24, 2019. Just obtaining a certificate costs money. The duration is about 7 weeks and requires an effort of approximately 2 to 4 hours per week.
