Skyload lets you download videos from YouTube and almost any website

23 mayo, 2021

Skyload is a pretty cool Chrome and Opera extension that can be used to download music and video from social media or from multiple websites. It makes the process extremely simple since it identifies all the content that you can download and offers it to you in one click.

The extension works with any Chrome-based browser, such as Vivaldi, Opera, Yandex, or the new Edge. Skyload lets you download video or audio from sites like Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Vimeo, DailyMotion, Soundcloud, etc.

If you use the keyboard more than the mouse, install Cato, the command launcher for the browser

One click downloads, multiple files at the same time and in the quality of your choice

Once you install the extension, a small download icon will appear in the Chrome toolbar. When you enter a website with multimedia content, that icon turns green.

If you click on the icon, there you will see a detailed list with everything you can download, organized by video and audio. You can choose just one of the available files or you can do a batch download.

One detail to keep in mind is that if you install the extension in Chrome, you will not be able to download videos or audio from YouTube, this is because Google does not allow extensions in the Chrome Web Store that facilitate the download of content from the platform.

Download Youtube Video

However, without installing the version for Opera from the Opera extension store, you will not have any limitation to download audio or video from YouTube. Everything you download you have at hand in the same Skyload download manager, and all information about the files is displayed before you download something: size, bitrate, video quality, file type.

In fact, you can even preview the videos from the extension before downloading them, and the same with the audio, you can listen before downloading and try between different files and their quality.

The extension is completely free, and although they say that they can show ads to users, at least for now I have not found the first one. They have the option of paying for the ad-free extension if you’re interested in for $ 2 per month, or $ 9 for 6 months, or $ 18 for the entire year.
