If last April we saw how reminders are imported from Google Calendar to Google Tasks, now we are going to see in detail another novelty of Google Tasks that comes from the application of Gmail for Android.
The latest version of Gmail for Android integrates with Google Tasks to allow us turn an email into a Google Tasks task. We tell you how to do it.
Add an email to Google Tasks
If an email reaches our Gmail account with a task or event that we do not want to miss, we can easily add it to the application Google Tasks. For this we have to carry out these steps:
- Opens Gmail for Android
- Open an email
- Tap on More options (top right icon)
- Tap on Add to Tasks
After these steps, Gmail will have created a task in Google Tasks that we can open by clicking on the shortcut Watch that will appear for a few seconds at the bottom of Gmail.
Currently Google Tasks integration with Gmail is very basic, all it does is create a task with it. email subject name also adding a shortcut to open the original email. The details, date and time fields must be filled in manually. It doesn’t automatically get them from the mail.
