technical data sheet of characteristics and price

26 mayo, 2021

Honor renews its mobile catalog for the second half of 2018. We already have the official characteristics of the new Honor 8X, which will be your mid-range mobile for this Christmas. From one year to the next, it improves in all sections, from its screen that grows to 6.5 inches, the internal processor that adds artificial intelligence functions and the double rear camera, which incorporates a sensor of up to 20 megapixels and where scene recognition should significantly improve the photographic section, which in the previous model was somewhat short.

Until we test it in depth in our analysis, we will not be able to determine the scope of the improvements made to this Honor 8X, but the truth is that the mid-range looks better and better. It is something that happens every year but we are happy that mobile manufacturers continue to notably increase the characteristics of their terminals. Let’s see what the Honor 8X offers.

Honor 8x Mobile

The Honor X range is characterized by having a generous screen size but perhaps what we have in the Honor 8X goes beyond what we thought. We have a panel of 6.5 inches with FullHD + resolution and a 19: 5: 9 format. The body of the device is only four millimeters taller than the previous Honor 7X, despite incorporating just over half an extra inch of screen. The lower edge has been reduced to 4.25mm.

Inside the Honor 8X we have the new Kirin 710 processor, a rival of the Snapdragon 660 and endowed with artificial intelligence capabilities. It is the same chip that we see in the Huawei P Smart +, which would be its counterpart in the other Chinese manufacturer. The truth is that it is appreciated to see how both Honor and Huawei are leaving the Kirin 659 chip behind.

Honor 8x

Accompanying the processor the Honor 8X offers two versions. The base version comes with 4GB of RAM along with 64GB of storage and then we will have another version with 6GB and 128GB of storage, both models expandable via microSD. It is also a real dualSIM terminal, so we will not lose the space for the memory card in any case.

Regarding the battery, it is added 3,750 mAh with support for fast charging. We do not have NFC or radioFM, but we do have a rear fingerprint reader and GPU Turbo with EMUI 8.2 and Android 8.1 Oreo.

20 megapixel dual camera with scene recognition

Camera Honor 8x

As with the Honor 10 or the new Honor Play, this Honor 8X adds artificial intelligence functions to the camera thanks to the Kirin 710 being able to do so. In the back we have a 20 megapixel main sensor with an f / 1.8 aperture lens and a secondary two megapixel camera to create portrait mode. FlashLED is added and we will have up to 500 different scenes identification.

For video we do not have optical stabilization but we do have the possibility of recording in 480 fps super slow motion. For the front camera, a 16-megapixel sensor with an f / 2.0 aperture lens, beauty mode and 4-in-1 pixel binning is chosen.
