Motorola One Action Camera

The Motorola One Action gets its name for being the first in its family to include an action camera, but what are we talking about? Well, neither more nor less than an ultra-wide angle of 117º mainly focused on video functions.

Wide angle, video stabilization and Pixel Binning: the three keys to an action camera

Motorola has used Pixel Binning technology to group pixels with a 4-in-1 formula, thus achieving, on paper, more light and detail. Apart from this Quad Pixel for video, the company has prepared a specific mode to be able to record videos vertically with the wide angle, giving the lens a 90º rotation ratio. The stabilization section has also been taken care of, essential for recording videos without jitter.

In addition to this action camera, the One Action has a main sensor of 12 megapixels with f / 1.8 aperture and 1.25μm size, accompanied by a 5 megapixel depth sensor. The front camera is configured with another 12 megapixel sensor, this time with f / 2.0 aperture.

Motorola One Vision, analysis: Motorola's proposal to reign in the mid-range has a "cinema panel"

Heart of Samsung, Google software

Motorola One Action

At the hardware level, this Motorola One Action has the Exynos 9609, a reduced version of the Exynos 9610, with a 10nm lithography and a total of 8 cores (Cortex A73 and Cortex A53). Along with this processor come 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB UFS of storage (expandable by microSD cards up to 512 GB). The battery is 3,500mAh with 10W fast charge, in charge of powering the 6.3-inch IPS panel it has. Notch? No. Just a hole in the top corner of the terminal.

Motorola’s commitment to the software comes from the hand of Android One, promising constant updates for three years

At the software level, Motorola returns to bet on Android One. The terminal goes on the market with Android 9.0 Pie, with the promise of constant updates, which we can attest to having tested variants of this family, such as the Motorola One Vision. Specifically, with Android One we will enjoy two years of system updates and three years of monthly security patches. As for the rest of the specifications, we are in front of a well connected terminal, with NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band WiFi, USB type C and extras like the rear fingerprint reader.
