We all know that there was a time when Terra was a real popular portal in Spain, and I am sure that it still has quite a significant traffic, and that there are still many users who keep their e-mail accounts from that time, those finished in @ terra.es.
Well, those users should take this news into account. Terra plans to close that mail service on April 16. The reason is simple: the company’s new corporate strategy arrives in Spain.
It is important to note that migration is not automatic in any case– Users must transfer their contacts on their own, and old emails must be transferred manually using an email client such as Thunderbird, setting up both accounts on the client and dragging and dropping them onto a folder in the new account.
Those users who wish can open a new account @ terra.com, with 1GB of space. However my sincere recommendation is to go directly to services such as Outlook.com, Gmail or Yahoo! Mail. In any case the inconvenience for users is colossal– They lose what may have been their email address for many years. In your place I would open a new account and inform my contacts of the change of e-mail address.
