While rumors continue about its next flagships, the Huawei P40 and P40 Pro, the Chinese company continues to focus much of its efforts on strengthen your ecosystem of applications and services. Beyond HMS, its alternative to Google Play services, Huawei currently has a large number of apps and its own functions that, in some cases, are unknown to many users.
Among them, we have, for example, ‘HiVision’, ‘Digital Balance’ and ‘Maps Kit’, the equivalents of Google Lens, Android Digital Wellbeing and Google Maps, respectively. What we are going to talk about today is ‘HiCare’, the application that provides professional technical support for Huawei devices; it has just been updated and, in addition to being redesigned, it has changed its name: it is now called ‘Support’.
Same functions, different appearance
Until now, the ‘HiCare’ application acted as an online after-sales service center for Huawei devices. Thus, in addition to helping you identify and resolve faults that our mobile could have, included:
- Guides or manuals of user.
- Addresses and telephone numbers of service centers local.
- Politics of warranty of each country and state of the guarantee of your terminal.
- Forum to communicate with other local users.
- Prices of the repairs by breaking screen, motherboard, camera and other accessories.

With the new update, ‘HiCare’ is renamed ‘Support’ and its design changes, but maintains the services and the division into four sections that already existed: Recommended, Support, Forum and Me. In the Recommended section, you will basically find tutorials and tips, while in the Forum, you will be able to get in touch with other users, ask questions, view current news related to the brand and participate in raffles.
Within the Me section, it is possible to obtain information about your Huawei devices, send them in for repair, check for updates, and set your country / region preferences, notifications, and promotional information.
But if there is a useful section within the application, it is precisely the one called Support. There we can consult the nearest service centers ordered both by distance and by rating, access manuals, do a smart phone diagnosis (after downloading the ‘Smart Diagnosis’ app) and enable Maintenance mode before sending the mobile for repair.
You can also contact Huawei Spain via live chat, email, or hotline. And most importantly: it is possible to consult the troubleshooting related to the screen, the battery, the calls and Internet, the system, the camera, the networks, the contacts and SMS …
In short, ‘Support’ presents an application that, basically, has undergone a facelift and a name change, but that continues to maintain the functions offered by its predecessor. This new version is now available both through Google Play and through the Huawei AppGallery; just update ‘HiCare’ and it will appear on your mobile.
