A new application arrives on the Play Store. It is Google Tasks or Google Tasks, in Spanish. It is true that Google Keep exists, but the truth is that in recent months it has not received all the love it needed, and it is also an application for notes and writings of all kinds.
With Google Tasks we have after a long time a application specialized in having a list of pending tasks, easy to add, track and keep track of the things that we still have to do. Those of you who want to try it, we leave you the link for its free download at the end of this article where we will tell you the details about its operation.
Google Tasks, finally a specialized task app
The first thing that strikes you about Google Tasks is its appearance. We are facing a app with the new Material Design, an appearance that we have already known and whose guidelines will be defined during the next Google I / O 2018.
Is a very clean app, with white background and very few options to click. Simply the main button of the new task list in the center and a section with pending tasks.
The menu in this case is in the lower left corner and it will show us the various task lists, in addition to managing the Google accounts associated with the application. From the three dots in the lower right corner we can sort the tasks by date or in the order we want. It will also be here where we will delete the list or rename it.
Google Tasks is multi-device and syncs with Gmail and Google Calendar. We can edit all the tasks, add details, edit the information and even create a list of subtasks.
For example, we can create a task directly from the new Gmail or set a deadline in the task and that it appears in Google Calendar.
The application is very easy to use and when marking a task you simply have to click. We can also hold to drag to the gap that interests us.
Google Tasks also has reminders that will notify us when a task is about to be completed. And of course, it is part of G Suite, the Google toolkit that offers us a connected ecosystem where the information that we add in one of them can be managed from almost anywhere.
Google Tasks fits very well in that ecosystem of Google Assistant, Gmail or Calendar that sort our whole life into little information pills. If this new application ends up being widely used, asking Google about what tasks we have pending will be a most natural action.
