A few months ago the record for viewers on Twitch was broken when over 600,000 people watched Kim Dotcom, Ninja, Drake and others play Fortnite. Something that seems to have inspired Rubius to organize their own online tournament in March that surpassed one million simultaneous viewers.
Combined the audiences of the participating youtubers, the Fortnite tournament ended with more than 28 million views
But yesterday’s tournament was special, because it was face-to-face and the 100 participants were in the same place competing. In the end, seven games were played, five more than originally announced. Starting it surpassed 700,000 viewers, quickly becoming the number one trend on YouTube. And those are the numbers only of the Rubius channel, they would be much more if we add the transmissions of the other youtubers.
Among those who broadcast the live event with the highest number of views we have: The Grefg with more than 3.5 million views, Wismichu with more than 1.3 million views, DjMaRiiO with more than 1 million views, Folagor with more than 900,000 views , Withzack with more than 500,000 views, and Álvaro845 with more than 300,000 views.
